Don't Forget...

I still have the Music Lyrics Meme going on until Sunday.

Come on and see if you know any of them! I dare ya! You can either scroll down to Sunday May 21st's post, or go here: http://cherryredwriter.blogspot.com/2006/05/music-lyrics-meme.html One day when I'm really slick, I'll figure out how to change that into a word like "here" that you can click on... but I'm not that accomplished yet.

Current Mood: calming down.. was very angry (and I don't know what to do with myself when I'm angry) but now I'm calmed down and am eating my lunch... Amazing what a lunch break can do for you.

To make it a word to click on - In compose mode past the url then once it is on there go to Edit HTML you will see it like this
http://cherryredwriter.blogspot.com/2006/05/music-lyrics-meme.html

keep the first
Then highlight the second one and put what you want it to say with

This is what it would look like for this post

Then, when you switch back to Compose mode it will have the "click here" as a link instead of the whole addy. If this isn't clear let me know and I'll try and explain it better. It really is very simple.

Good Luck

well crud trying to show you how to do it made all of these links. Sorry. Let's try this, when you are in Compose mode, paste the URL you are wanting to put up. Then go to Edit HTML and you will see it, it will list the url 2 times the first time is thae actual link and the second is what it will appear as on your post.
will be in front of the next half remove the address from the second half and type what you want to show on your post leaving the at the end. Once you have that go back to Compose mode and you will see it as the click here or whatever else you put.

Sorry - for the first one, I'm not helping am I?

Allright, I'm quitting while I'm behind. I'm sorry, I don't have a clue how I'm making all of these blue link things. Sorry.

Hey Charity!

Thanks for stopping by. I was busy all day yesterday and this is the first time I've seen your comments.

I'm going to play around and see if I can get it to work. Thank you, thank you.

Also, I'm pretty sure that we learned some of this stuff in Cherry Forums when Mollie was trying to teach some of the more hopeless mods (technologically challenged--pretty much me) to do this. I think I can find the info somewhere.

How sweet of you to help me. :)

Hugs,
Kim

Kim,
Try this. Type whatever you want it to say on your site. For instance, if you want to say "Check out Michele's site", type that in. Then, you can highlight the words "Michele's site" and click on the little world icon to create a link. A little box will pop up. You enter the site that you want to link to (http://wariorinpink.blogspot.com) and then click "ok". Now, you will see the words "Michele's site" uinderlined in blue during preview mode. When you view the site, it will look the way it is supposed to look.

Wow, Dee. I'll try it next time. Thanks.

And thank you too, Charity. I keep meaning to take a minute and pop by your blog and make a comment. I love your cakes and such. I decorated cakes for 10 years in a former life. :)
