Here's Jefferson

Here's Jefferson too. We're going to meet him and Lulu tomorrow at 4 PM.

If we decide we'd like to adopt them (and if we're approved of course) I'm thinking about names. The rescue named them, so they aren't used to their names yet-- since they've only had them 2 weeks.

I've been toying with presidential names. Since we have Rutherford the cat and someone named this boy Jefferson, it got me thinking that we could rename Lulu something presidential too. The only girly presidential name I could come up with was Madison. I'm not sure.

Lulu is a cute name though. I also like Sadie or Sadie Mae.

Jefferson kinda looks like a Jefferson. Hmm... Thoughts?

Thanks Charity,

We've looked at Akitas too, and Bull Terriers (like the Target dog) and Boxers. We've both always loved English Bulldogs, but they have a lot of trouble breathing and skin problems. These pups are a mix of American and English. So, they're taller, thinner and less wrinkly, but they still have the silly bulldog face.

It's so heard to choose a dog because I really love them all. We'll see how things go today. I have to get out and buy my mom some birthday gifts today too. The world does not revolve around my need for a dog. Though lately my life does...

Hugs back!
Kim

I think Madison is great. You could always go with "Dolly Madison" on her papers, and call her Dolly around the house.
Roosevelt wouldn't be too bad either. You could call her Rosie.
Anyhow, glad you're keeping positive. Any dog that you choose will be very lucky to be adopted by you!

Thanks Dee. Since they are rescued dogs (and they're mixes anyway) they won't have papers. Don't have that to worry about.

I'm trying to stay positive. We've had our breakdowns this past week. It's all the little things, you know? But I know myself and my husband and we both really need some dogs to share our lives and to lavish all our attention on. You just get so used to having them with you. You know?

Great stuff you're doing with Robin's (RL LaFevers) book on your blog. Maybe I'll pop over there and post a chunk of my werewolf book in your contest just for fun. But don't enter me in the contest. I'm buying the book anyway.

hugs,
Kim

Hi Cherry Red. I like the idea of Presidential names. I understand why you need to adopt so soon after losing Kiki because that has happened to us. Good luck with Jefferson and Lulu aka Madison. I'm sure you will be approved.

Thanks for dropping by my site. I'm signed up with Cherry Forums but haven't gotten the nerve to introduce myself yet.

Robin S,
Don't be shy! The very best place to start on the Cherry Forums is in the "Welcoming Committee" thread. Just post a little about yourself and people will hop in and say hi and you'll make some friends. Plus, you already know me, Dee and Charity, so we'll say hi too.

Hey Inkgrrl and Charity!
I do have an update. I guess I'll post it to the Blog. Thanks so much for stopping by to find out my news.

hugs to all,
Kim
