Still more nostalgia
And this is Michele (one of my other roommates and road trip partner) and me (R) sitting at our table at the awards ceremony. We had such a great time. I couldn't talk for hours after the ceremony because I screamed so much.
The following morning Chris, Michele and I & maybe some othrs too) were in an elevator and I had on a cherry tank top. Someone made a comment to us, asking us if we were cherries. I said "yes" and that I'd forgotten I was wearing the top. She commented I had a cherry purse as well. I always use that purse so it didn't even register.
Then Chris said, "Yeah, but you'll never be rid of the cherry we've tattooed on your ass." Which made all of us bust out laughing. (For the record, I do not have a tattoo of a cherry on my ass or anywhere else on my body. ) I love Chris! She's presenting a Golden Heart tonight. I wonder what she's going to wear!

Ohhh! GREAT PHOTO.
Thank you! I have no idea who took it. One of the cherries. It's the only proof I was in Reno. :)
Okay, this comment is a few post from current, but the tattoo thing just made me smile. I was just in the tat parlor the other day as my sister got one, and I saw the cutest cherries. I'm thinking that one would look good on the back of my neck. I already have a tat on my back shoulder blade, but those cherries are calling my name.
I don't remember if I told you this already, but...
My old neighbor Shane (NOT my husband, yeah THAT was a weird thing to get used to!) told me a story about why he thinks tats are dumbdumbdumb. His mom's friend got this cute little tat of CHERRIES at the top of her left breast years ago. Well, after childbirth and nursing, and aging a few decades, they are no longer cherries. They now look like chili peppers. Ouch! I guess I can see his point. But then again, why would anyone put a tat someplace that might stretch or sag? MY tat is strategically located...well, only MY Shane knows that. Well, him and the guy that did it. And my brother, since he was there too. And three other friends. Wait a sec. I bought a 2 piece and WORE it this year, so there are probably quite a few that have seen it. Now I'm a little embarrassed.
LOL! I've seen some cute cherry tats. I think my husband was scared that I'd get one last year when I got my second tattoo. I'd wanted some kind of Celtic knot on my lower back, but my other tattoo is kind of dark and knots are generally done with a lot of black and think lines.
I ended up with some twisty vines and flowers (pink and purpleish lily-type) in the shape of a triangle and it's very pretty and feminine and colorful-- it has a certain knot-ish similarity. V. different than my first one.
LOL @ Dee! I didn't see your post. The only way anyone would see my first one is if I had a bikini on, and that's a rarity for me. The second one is on my lower back so it shows if I have low rise jeans/short top on.
Kim:)
Tats are so addicting. I got mine on my 21st b-day and have refrained thus far from getting more. But, walking in there with my sister just made me want another one so very badly. I sometimes forget I even have a tat until some one sees it when I'm wearing a shirt or dress that has a low back.
The whole sagging thing? Yeah, I can understand that. No way would I ink a place that won't be the same in my later years. Heck, if I had one on my boobies it wouldn't still be in the same place, nursing 2 kids helps gravity along baby!
Kim, I've always wanted a vine like tat on my lower back, just cannot seem to bring myself to do that one. I don't want anything that has the potential to draw attention to my bottom ;)
LOL Charity! I don't mind that so much. I'm a curvy girl even when I'm at my appropriate weight. Nothing's going to detract from my hips and butt. :)
My husband loves my tattoo and my belly ring--he loves all that kind of stuff--so if he's happy, I'm happy too. One of these days I'll post a pic of my flowers and vines. I was going to draw one myself, but when I saw it, I knew it was just what I wanted.
Kim:)
